Our Vision

We believe luxury lies in simplicity and authentic experiences.

Nature is beautiful as it is. We will dwell in the shadow of the mountain, we respect the mountain and everything that surrounds it.

We aim to preserve the idilic landscape of the Romanian countryside where the rhythm is slow and mornings are cool even in the heat of summer.

How can you help?

We have secured the funding to build phase 1 and we expect to start in mid 2025 after we receive all the permits for the build.

However, building in a remote location has unexpected costs. We need an estimated 21 500 EUR to secure the utilities (electricity and water) to the plot. This was not part of our initial budget since we expected this to be covered by the local authorities.

The concept

We were inspired by the haystacks that spring all over the foothills of rural Romania in early summer as the archetype of the Romanian countryside and design a unique travel concept of several small houses distributed on over 2 hectares of land just like haystacks on a summer afternoon.

The first phase will include a reception as well as 3 Small Hay! houses for couples or a family with 1-2 kids. We will have time to experiment with the concept and add the extra amenities (we want to keep these as a surprise).

With our guests' help we will grow in time with 2 Large Hay! houses for groups or larger families as well as a restaurant.

All our houses will be built using sustainable timber and will be built close to NZEB standards, with a respect for the environment, and will include renewable energy sources for heating/cooling and amenities.

On top, we'll have a charging station for electric vehicles partly powered by solar energy as well as amazing specialty coffee.
